Celebrating DiscipleLife Through Worship by Noralyn Carpenter

I am Noralyn Carpenter, Director of Music and Worship at Advent Lutheran Church, and I'm on the worship team for Assembly 2012. I celebrate DiscipleLife in my faith community by knowing other people's gifts, and inviting them to share those gifts in our worship life. We sing. We ring. We lector-usher-greet-welcome. We decorate. And we do all manner of things to support the worship life of our congregation. I especially enjoy sowing seeds of discipleship in our children and youth. Years ago, when we graduated a class of acolytes, one of them immediately exclaimed, "NOW I am old enough to serve in the Tenebrae Service!" She made my day.
